Atiku will win Rivers in a landslide in 2023, predict Reps Dagogo
Farah Dagogo, a representative from Rivers State, claims he is confident that Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate, will win the 2023 elections by a landslide in Rivers state and with a majority of the vote throughout the entire South-South.
Following Atiku’s remarks at the Nigeria Guild of Editors meeting in Lagos, where he assured of already having a draft amendment bill on restructuring prepared with input from stakeholders across all geopolitical zones to present to the 10th National Assembly when elected president next year, Dagogo, the member representing Bonny-Degema Federal Constituency on the PDP platform, made the projection.
He claimed that by pledging to restructure the country if elected, the former vice president and his running mate, Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, are earning the trust and support of Nigerians, particularly those in the South.
“On the basis of policies that will benefit the people, Atiku will gain the majority of the votes in the South-South, as well as other zones in the country,” stated the Reps member who was present during the NGE meeting with Atiku. In the state of Rivers, Atiku-Okowa will win by a resounding landslide.
“The need to address restructuring and resource control, which are crucial for people in the Niger Delta and other parts of the country, is one of the issues plaguing our nation. For the first time, we have a candidate running for Nigeria’s highest office who is ready to take on those problems head-on.
He gathered legal experts, working with important stakeholders from various geopolitical zones, to develop the restructuring modification law as a sign of his dedication and readiness.
The new 10th Assembly will be presented with that bill as soon as it is ready. The majority of the people in the South-South and other geopolitical regions with valuable natural resources have had their worries allayed by this aggressive action alone.
People want a leader they can rely on, one with strong moral character, one who feels their pain and has the political will to address it. Alhaji Atiku has more than shown that.
“The choice of Governor Okowa as Atiku’s running partner was a brilliant, masterstroke,” the federal lawmaker continued. One of the brightest minds from the South of the country, Okowa is not only of Igbo and Niger Delta descent.
