I’ll create a safe Nigeria that benefits everyone, says Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has committed to creating a Nigeria that benefits all of its citizens.

This commitment was made by Obi in a brief message on his verified Twitter account on Sunday.

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate emphasized that Nigeria must work for all of its residents, expressing worry that just a small portion of its population is employed.

Obi said that regardless matter where they reside, Nigerians must be able to live peacefully and safely.

There is Nigeria, but there are no Nigerians, he declared. Nigeria must function for ALL Nigerians; as it stands, a small minority of individuals benefit from it. Wherever they live, Nigerians must be able to live safely and securely.

This is the government’s first responsibility. Because of this, I place security as a major priority.

Recall that the Nasarawa State and Benue State campaigns for the Labour Party’s 2023 nomination were respectively launched by the candidate and his party.

On Friday, the Labour Party’s presidential candidates and leaders were campaigning in Edo State, where there was a strong turnout of supporters.

Obi had tweeted, “What a wonderful and OBIdient crowd in Benin,” after the Edo campaign. The affection and support of the people of Edo have made me incredibly humble.

While in Benin City, Obi paid a visit to the Oba of Benin and was photographed with Apostle Johnson Suleman, a well-known priest.

Recall that in order to run for president, Obi abandoned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the Labour Party. Since then, he has grown in popularity and is now one of the main challengers to the more established PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
