Patients and staff at the General Hospital, Koko, Central Hospital Sapele, and Testimony Orphanage Home, Sapele in the Warri North and Sapele local government areas of Delta State have received relief supplies from the 90 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army.

The gesture was part of the Nigerian Army’s ongoing exercise for the battalion, Still Waters II 2022.

In his remarks at the various locations, the military team visited on Wednesday, Major J. O. Ajongbo, the Commanding Officer of the 90 Amphibious Battalion of the Nigerian Army in Koko, revealed that the exercise was a part of the command’s civil-military cooperation activities.

The army’s role, he continued, “is not just to arrest suspects but also to show love, care, and identification with the people.” He said the gesture was intended “to let the people know that they are not forgotten.”

While welcoming the military personnel, Dr. Mukoro Samson, the Chief Medical Director of the General Hospital in Koko, praised the commanding officer and his staff for their “good work” since he took office as the CO in Koko.
